Musiques Rive Gauche
Musiques Rive Gauche is a classical, baroque, and jazz music festival held every summer on the Emerald Coast and the left bank of the Rance, in Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany). The festival is organized by the association Musiques Rive Gauche en Côte d'Émeraude, founded in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, at the gates of Dinard.
An Itinerant Festival on the Emerald Coast
Rather than a single stage, the festival takes over several heritage sites in the communes on the left bank of the Rance and the coast: churches, historic organs (Saint-Briac, Notre-Dame de Dinard, La Richardais, Saint-Lunaire), halls, and the Casino Barrière de Dinard. Concerts are held notably in Dinard, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, Saint-Lunaire, La Richardais, Pleurtuit, and Le Minihic-sur-Rance.
A Classical and Eclectic Program
The program brings together young talents with international accolades and established artists around a varied repertoire: baroque music (notably with the Ensemble Baroque de Rennes), chamber music, organ and piano recitals, jazz, and tango. Each summer, the festival offers concerts in heritage sites as well as free-access events, such as the "Jazz au balcon" jazz sessions in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer.
Information and Program
The detailed program and ticketing information are published on the association's official website and on its HelloAsso ticketing page. The Dinard – Côte d'Émeraude tourist offices also relay the concert schedule.
