Popular ball and fireworks in the heart of Essonne
Every year on the evening of July 13th, the town of Morsang-sur-Orge celebrates the National Day with a popular ball hosted by a DJ and a musical fireworks display launched from the Parc du Château. The evening brings together residents and families in a festive and friendly atmosphere, with the distribution of lanterns starting at 9 PM.
Every year, the town of Morsang-sur-Orge enthusiastically celebrates the National Day of July 14th. The festivities traditionally take place on the evening of July 13th, the eve of the public holiday, to allow as many people as possible to fully enjoy this iconic evening.
The Parc du Château, a green gem in the heart of the commune, provides the ideal setting for these celebrations. The castle esplanade transforms into a vast festive space, welcoming residents and visitors in a warm and republican atmosphere. The distribution of lanterns starting at 9 PM in front of the castle gates marks the start of the evening.
DJ Foze, passionate about vinyl and turntables, is in charge of the music from 7:30 PM, playing dancing classics and must-hear hits that get all generations moving. The outdoor dance floor invites young and old to join the party until the early hours of the night.
At 11:30 PM, the sky of Morsang-sur-Orge ignites with a spectacular musical fireworks display. Colorful bursts of light illuminate the Parc du Château in a carefully orchestrated pyrotechnic finale, where each burst of fire responds to the notes of the music. This special moment brings together several thousand amazed spectators each year.
The National Day of Morsang-sur-Orge is entirely free, reflecting the values of sharing and equality inherent in the republican motto. The municipality makes every effort to ensure easy access to the site, with appropriate signage and teams on the ground to welcome and guide festival-goers.
