A festival of tales in the countryside

The festival Noces de Paroles was born in 2021 from the desire of the association Noces de Paroles, based in the hamlet of Grand Aslon in Lingé, to create a cultural event rooted in the territory of Brenne. This festival of tales and music in the countryside invites the public to "follow the colored signs" to the hamlet, to sit on the grass, and to be transported into poetic, funny, and moving universes.

The organizers imagine this event as a country fair where people dress up, meet friends and family, make new acquaintances over a drink before settling in comfortably to listen to the stories. The public is invited to bring cushions and hats to fully enjoy this outdoor experience.

The art of speech in all its forms

The festival's program highlights the art of speech in all its forms: traditional storytelling, contemporary narrative, oral poetry, song, and music. Renowned storytellers are invited to share the stage with musicians for performances that blend narration and sound creation. Each edition features an open stage allowing various artists to meet and create unique moments together.

The festival also includes storytelling walks in the surrounding countryside, combining the discovery of the bocage landscape of Brenne with listening to tales and legends. These narrative walks offer a complete sensory experience, between nature and imagination.

Valuing oral and rural heritage

The Noces de Paroles association pursues several objectives through this festival: to offer quality live performances, to transmit the know-how of the art of speech through courses and workshops, to promote the intangible heritage of orality, to collect legends from the region and beyond, and to promote the rural environment through storytelling walks. The festival is also accompanied by winter cultural events, extending the association's activities throughout the year.

A spirit of village celebration

Friendliness is at the heart of the Noces de Paroles experience. A bar and a sandwich workshop allow for refreshments in a rural and relaxed atmosphere. The natural setting of Grand Aslon, between meadows and hedgerows, provides an ideal backdrop for this celebration of speech and music.
