Musical Fridays in the Open Air

Every summer, the Ville de Montbard offers Notes d'Été, a series of free open-air concerts that take place on Fridays in July at the Place de la Pépinière Royale. This summer program is aimed at all those seeking convivial moments and musical discoveries, in the green setting of this historic square in Montbard. Concerts begin at 8:30 PM and refreshments are available on site.

An Eclectic Program

The Notes d'Été program is distinguished by its musical diversity. Over the years, audiences have discovered groups playing New Orleans jazz, funk, blues, classical music (oboe, violin, and cello trios), 60s surf music, and many other styles. Each Friday offers a different musical flavor, reaching a varied audience and introducing often regional artists.

Montbard, a Haven of Culture and Nature

Montbard, the birthplace of naturalist Buffon and gateway to the abbey of Fontenay (UNESCO listed), offers an ideal setting for these summer evenings. The Place de la Pépinière Royale, located in the heart of the town, benefits from a green environment and a peaceful atmosphere that is perfectly suited for open-air concerts. Notes d'Été contributes to the summer animation of the town and the shared enjoyment of residents and visitors.
