The festival that merges urban culture and mountains in Valfréjus
O.U.F. — Outdoor Urban Festival — is a unique summer event that brings urban cultures and the mountains together in Valfréjus, a resort in Haute-Maurienne Vanoise. Created in 2024, this festival transforms the resort into a giant playground where urban sports, street art, and music meet for four days at the end of July. Skateboarding, BMX, breakdancing, freestyle football, double dutch, parkour, slacklining: the iconic disciplines of urban culture are expressed at altitude through introductory workshops and spectacular demonstrations by professionals. In parallel, murals are born under the spray cans of professional graffiti artists, and DJ sets conclude each evening in a festive atmosphere. O.U.F. is open to everyone, from urban sports enthusiasts to families looking for original mountain activities.
O.U.F. — Outdoor Urban Festival is a bold concept born in 2024 in Valfréjus, a mountain resort in Haute-Maurienne Vanoise in Savoie. This summer festival aims to transpose urban disciplines into an alpine setting, creating an unprecedented encounter between street culture and mountain energy.
The heart of the festival beats to the rhythm of urban sports. For four days, the squares of Valfréjus — Place du Thabor, Place des Bergers, and the tourist office parking lot — transform into skate parks and performance spaces. Visitors can try their hand at skateboarding, BMX, breakdancing, freestyle football, double dutch, parkour, and slacklining in workshops led by professionals. A wooden bike park with fun modules is available for all ages, with balance bikes, bikes, and helmets provided.
The festival showcases street art with creative graffiti workshops led by a professional artist with over fifteen years of experience. Participants learn the basics of spray art in a supportive and creative environment. In parallel, live painting sessions feature artists like Valentin Walker creating works in real-time, blending visual energy, improvisation, and instant creation. The murals created during the festival remain on the resort's walls, forming a living artistic heritage.
The festival evenings are enlivened by DJ sets that conclude each day in a festive and relaxed atmosphere. DJ WhyGees (Yoann Gourovitch) offers impactful remixes and edits of international hits, getting the crowd dancing under the mountain stars. Music accompanies the entire festival, from the day's workshops to the convivial evenings.
