A friendly literary fair in Berry

The Palluau-sur-Indre Book Fair is a must-attend literary event in the south of the Indre department. Organized each year in October by the Prosipal association (Protection and promotion of the Palluau-sur-Indre site), this fair brings together about sixty authors for a day rich in meetings and literary discoveries. Since its creation in 2010, the event has established itself as a popular gathering for book lovers in the Indre department.

Renowned authors and guest of honor

Each edition highlights one or more guests of honor from the world of literature, journalism, or the arts. Over the years, the fair has hosted prestigious personalities such as Anny Duperey, Frédéric Vitoux from the Académie française, Gonzague Saint-Bris, and Alain Baraton, head gardener of the Palace of Versailles. These distinguished guests mingle with regional and national authors in a warm and accessible atmosphere.

Meetings, conferences, and signings

The fair's program revolves around meetings with authors, thematic conferences, and signing sessions throughout the day. Visitors can interact directly with the writers, discover their works, and have their books signed. The event is an opportunity to engage with authors from various genres: novels, essays, history, poetry, children's literature, and regional works.

A welcoming setting and a refined atmosphere

The fair is held in a spacious and bright hall, carefully decorated: white tablecloths, flower arrangements, and a refined presentation create an elegant atmosphere. A tea room bar allows visitors to eat on-site and extend their discussions in a friendly setting. The fair welcomes between 600 and 800 visitors each year, reflecting the attachment of the Berry public to this cultural event.
