Partir en Livre

Partir en Livre is the major national youth book festival, organized by the Centre national du livre (CNL) under the impetus of the Ministry of Culture. Every summer, the event offers several thousand free activities throughout France — including in Rennes and Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany) — to transmit the pleasure of reading to children, teenagers, and families.

A festival that takes books off the shelves

For several weeks, bookstores, libraries, media libraries, associations, municipalities, and cultural structures team up to meet young readers in their living and holiday places: immersive readings, writing and illustration workshops, meetings with authors and illustrators, drawn concerts, book hunts, and open-air libraries. All activities are free and open to everyone.
