About Passeurs d'Histoire Festival
The Passeurs d'Histoire festival brings together everyone who shares history with the public at the Mémorial de Verdun: historians, comic book authors, educators, filmmakers, novelists, and creators of podcasts, video games, and virtual reality content. Launched in 2024, each edition features a unifying theme, along with meet-and-greets, screenings, lectures, and workshops. The festival also presents the History Podcast Award and the Mémorial de Verdun Award, which honors the best historical essay.
Passeurs d'Histoire Festival — edition 2026
The second edition of the Passeurs d'Histoire festival will take place from November 6th to 8th, 2026, at the Mémorial de Verdun, focusing on the theme of "Scars of History": human trauma, cultural and family heritage, and the marks left on historical and heritage sites. Historians, authors, filmmakers, YouTubers, and creators of podcasts and video games will gather to share their passion with the public, building on the success of the inaugural event held in November 2024.
