The most prestigious horse racing day in Chantilly
Since its creation in 1843, the Prix de Diane has been one of the most prestigious races on the global equestrian calendar. This flat race reserved for three-year-old fillies, run over 2,100 meters at the Chantilly racecourse, is considered the female counterpart to the Prix du Jockey Club. Since 2012, the Swiss watchmaking house Longines has been its title partner.
The Prix de Diane Longines is much more than just a day of horse racing. It is a true society and festive event that attracts over 30,000 visitors each year to the magnificent setting of the Chantilly racecourse, with the Grandes Écuries and the Chantilly Forest as a backdrop.
A highlight of the day, the elegance competition showcases the most beautiful hats and the most refined outfits. Men and women compete in creativity and daring attire in a glamorous atmosphere that has earned the event worldwide renown. A jury of personalities awards prizes to the most remarkable outfits.
A large festive village welcomes visitors with dining areas, bars, pop-up shops, and entertainment. The chic picnic is a tradition: visitors settle on the lawns of the racecourse to enjoy refined food in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere.
Concerts accompany the day, creating a festive atmosphere between races. Activities for families, introductions to the world of horses, and entertainment for children complete the program, making the Prix de Diane an event accessible to all audiences.
The Chantilly racecourse, one of the most beautiful in France, offers an exceptional natural setting. Located on the edge of the Chantilly Forest, it boasts a unique panorama of the 18th-century Grandes Écuries, considered the most beautiful in Europe.

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Hippodrome de Chantilly hosts the 177th edition of the Prix de Diane Longines, one of the great classics of French gallop racing and the most glamorous equestrian event of the year. In the heart of the Chantilly estate, against the backdrop of the castle and park, the fastest 3-year-old fillies in the world compete on the legendary 2,100-meter track to win the most coveted Group 1 in the specialty.
But the Prix de Diane is also — and largely — about the French art of living: a large village of free entertainment in the heart of the racecourse, the famous elegance contest, the chic picnic on the lawns, concerts, and DJ sets at the end of the day. More than 30,000 visitors are expected for this day broadcast live on M6 and Equidia.
Ten races follow one another throughout the day, culminating in the Prix de Diane Longines around 4:05 PM, after the presentation of the thoroughbreds in the parade ring. The rest of the program alternates between grandstands, parade, gourmet village, and festive entertainment.
The Village de Diane, located in the center of the racecourse, is the epicenter of the celebration. It features a vintage Ferris wheel with breathtaking views of the Château de Chantilly, a carousel ride, pony rides, equestrian demonstrations, creative workshops (flower crowns, temporary tattoos), a food court, and the Jardin Gourmand with its refined picnics by Ladurée.
An emblematic tradition of the Prix de Diane, the Elegance Contest rewards the most creative outfits and hats. The winner receives the title of Mademoiselle Diane Longines. Registration on site, presentation of finalists in the afternoon, and prize-giving in the parade ring.
A private area by the track, Les Folies de Diane offers a more relaxed atmosphere for young adults: DJ sets starting at 7:20 PM, surprise entertainment, and a dancing after-party until the site closes at 9:30 PM.
Free entertainment throughout the day in the Village de Diane: vintage Ferris wheel, carousel, pony rides, equestrian demonstrations, flower crown workshops, temporary tattoos, food court.
