The great meeting of Aude's terroirs and know-how at Parc de Gaujac
Prom'Aude — Festival Aude al Pais is the annual major event for producers, artisans, and cultural actors of the Aude department, organized every first weekend of June at Parc de Gaujac in Lezignan-Corbieres. Since 1989, this 100% terroir festival brings together thirteen thematic areas showcasing gastronomy, craftsmanship, viticulture, and Occitan culture. With its concerts, tastings, living farm, and Occitan village, Prom'Aude attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year to celebrate the identity and richness of the Aude region.
Prom'Aude — Festival Aude al Pais was born in 1989 from the desire to highlight the know-how of the women and men of Aude. Every year, at the beginning of June, the Parc de Gaujac in Lezignan-Corbieres transforms into a huge festive village where agricultural producers, winemakers, artisans, cultural associations, and artists gather for three days of sharing and conviviality. The event is organized by the Prom'Aude association, with the support of the Occitanie Region and the Aude Department.
The festival is structured around thirteen thematic areas that cover the richness of the Aude territory. The Occitan village celebrates the Occitan language and traditions through workshops, dances, and traditional music. The gastronomy and wine areas offer tastings of local products: AOC Corbieres, Minervois, Limoux wines, honeys, cheeses, cured meats, and local specialties. The artisanal market brings together potters, cutlers, weavers, and art creators. The living farm and the equestrian village delight families, while an area dedicated to ecological transition raises visitors' awareness of environmental issues.
Prom'Aude's music program features Occitan artists and world music, with open-air concerts every evening. Live performance troupes, brass bands, and traditional dance groups entertain visitors in the park's alleys throughout the day. Children enjoy dedicated play areas with creative workshops, wooden games, pony rides, and puppet shows. The festival aims to be family-friendly, accessible, and rooted in the values of sharing and discovery.
With over 35,000 visitors over three days, Prom'Aude has become a truly unifying event for the Aude department. Exhibitors come from all over the territory: Corbieres, Minervois, Haute Vallee de l'Aude, Lauragais, Pays de Sault, Narbonnais, and Carcassonnais. The entrance fee remains deliberately symbolic (2 euros per day, free for children under 12) to allow as many people as possible to participate in this celebration of Aude's terroirs and culture.
