Reggae, electro and engaged music festival in the Minervois audois
Régal Sound is a contemporary music festival dedicated to reggae, dub, electro and engaged music, held every September in the Minervois audois. Created in 2015 by the association Music'al Sol, the festival first took place at Lac de Jouarres in Homps before moving to Trèbes. Over four days, the event offers concerts, workshops on sustainable development, introductions to graffiti, beatbox and hip-hop dance, in a militant spirit for peace and solidarity. Saturday afternoon is free and open to all audiences, with family activities.
Born in 2015 from the initiative of the association Music'al Sol, Régal Sound is an atypical festival that combines contemporary music and civic engagement. The festival clearly positions itself as a militant event, in partnership with the Mouvement de la paix audois and Amnesty International, defending the values of peace, solidarity, and respect for the environment. This engaged dimension is reflected in the musical programming as well as in the activities offered throughout the festival.
The musical programming of Régal Sound covers a wide spectrum of contemporary music, with a focus on reggae and dub:
The festival hosts international headliners as well as local and emerging artists, in a spirit of discovery and sharing.
Beyond music, Régal Sound offers a true associative village with discussion and animation spaces:
Saturday afternoon is free and open to all, allowing families to enjoy the workshops and activities in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Régal Sound first settled at Lac de Jouarres in Homps, an exceptional natural site on the banks of the Canal du Midi, offering an outdoor festival setting with a beach, swimming, and the wine landscapes of the Minervois. The festival later moved to Trèbes for some editions, while remaining anchored in the Minervois region. The association Music'al Sol, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023, continues to carry this project with passion and commitment.
The 11th edition of Régal Sound is scheduled for September 2026 in the Minervois. Four days of reggae, dub, electro, and engaged music. Dates, location, and program to be confirmed.
