Each year in December, the medieval bastide town of Mirepoix dons its festive attire to host its Christmas Market. The Marechal Leclerc square, with its 13th-century medieval arcades, its monumental hall, and its half-timbered houses, offers an exceptional setting for this event that attracts visitors from all over the Ariege department and beyond.

Over 50 Artisan and Producer Exhibitors

The market brings together over 50 carefully selected exhibitors: art and craft artisans (ceramics, wood, textiles, jewelry, leather, soaps), local producers (foie gras, confits, cheeses, honeys, wines, biscuits, chocolates), and creators offering original gift ideas for the end-of-year holidays. The quality of the products and the artisanal nature of the market are at the heart of the selection.

Festive Entertainment and Activities for Children

The Mirepoix Christmas Market is not just about sales: it also offers musical entertainment (choirs, Christmas groups, traditional music), shows for children, pony rides, inflatable structures, and a visit from Santa Claus. Hot drinks (mulled wine, hot chocolate) and soup are served to warm up visitors in the friendly atmosphere of the illuminated town.
