The rock, vintage and craft beer event of Seine-et-Marne
The Rock'n Beer Festival is a festive and offbeat event that brings together the worlds of rock'n'roll, craft beer, and vintage culture every February at L'Escale in Melun. Hosted by the essential Coco Das Vegas, this two-day festival offers an eclectic program mixing rock concerts, craft beer tastings, a vintage market, street food, American car exhibitions, burlesque shows, a Miss Pin-Up contest, and an Air Guitar championship. The fifties-sixties atmosphere, with its leather, vinyl, and hops, attracts a diverse audience to the largest performance venue in southern Seine-et-Marne.
The Rock'n Beer Festival was born from the passion of a group of rock and craft beer enthusiasts for vintage culture and the rebellious spirit of early rock'n'roll. Located at L'Escale, a performance venue in the town of Melun facing the Seine, the event transforms this 2,200-seat venue into a true temple of rock and beer every February.
The festival is hosted by Coco Das Vegas, a colorful master of ceremonies who embodies the event's quirky and festive spirit. His infectious energy sets the tone for a weekend where seriousness is banned in favor of shared enjoyment.
The Rock'n Beer Festival offers a packed two-day program. Concerts are at the heart of the event, with rock, rockabilly, punk rock, and blues bands performing on the L'Escale stage. The 2025 edition notably featured One Rusty Band and Cora Lynn & the Rhythm Snatchers.
Alongside the music, the festival unfolds a complete universe dedicated to rock and vintage culture:
Several unmissable events punctuate the weekend:
The qualifiers take place on Saturday afternoon, followed by the grand finale in the evening. Contestants, imaginary guitar in hand, compete with energy and facial expressions before a jury and an electrified audience.
On Sunday, contestants parade in vintage outfits for a pin-up contest that celebrates the 1950s aesthetic. Style, elegance, and personality are the criteria for this contest, which has become a festival institution.
Performers like Petula Goldfever offer glamorous striptease shows in the purest burlesque tradition, adding a touch of quirky sophistication to the festival's rock atmosphere.
Apéro Quiz, 60s/70s and 80s/90s Blind Test, Beer Quiz: participatory activities punctuate the days, allowing festival-goers to test their musical and brewing knowledge.
