The grand family circus show of the school holidays
Each season, Cirque Imagine unveils a new chapter of its family saga, Sacré Cirque. Under the permanent Grand Chapiteau located at Carré de Soie in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon, this show offers two hours of captivating circus journey, punctuated by a friendly intermission. Designed to amaze all generations from age 2 upwards, Sacré Cirque brings together about twenty international artists, award-winners at major circus festivals, on stage.
The Sacré Cirque 3 edition (2025-2026 season) features new acts of aerial acrobatics, juggling, hand-to-hand, dance, and clowning. The staging, by artistic director Anastasiya Massot, co-founder of Cirque Imagine, combines technical prowess with theatrical narrative. The show is written like a true circus play, where each act is part of a coherent dramaturgy.
The artists of Sacré Cirque come from all over the world: acrobats, trapeze artists, contortionists, jugglers, dancers, and clowns share the stage in a succession of spectacular scenes. The aerial acts, moments of grace suspended in the air, alternate with humorous sequences that involve the audience. No animals are featured in the show.
Founded in 1999 by the Massot family, a dynasty of circus artists for six generations, Cirque Imagine has been permanently located at Carré de Soie since 2012. This 2,200 m² modular complex houses a permanent big top that can accommodate several hundred spectators. Since its establishment, Cirque Imagine has welcomed over 65,000 spectators per season, becoming one of the essential cultural venues in the Lyon metropolitan area.
True to its philosophy of contemporary circus, Cirque Imagine focuses on human talent and artistic creativity. The shows blend circus tradition with stage innovation, in a festive and warm spirit that appeals to both children and adults. The proximity to the audience, the interactivity of the clown acts, and the quality of the performances make Sacré Cirque an excellent family outing.
The third edition of Sacré Cirque is performed during the All Saints' Day holidays (October 18 - November 2, 2025), the Winter holidays (February 7-22, 2026), and the Spring holidays (April 4-19, 2026). Under the artistic direction of Anastasiya Massot, about twenty international artists present an enchanting 2-hour show composed of acrobats, jugglers, aerial artists, dancers, and clowns.
The show features new acts blending spectacular aerial acrobatics, juggling, hand-to-hand, fire acts, magic, and participatory comic sequences. The entire performance is staged like a true circus play, where each scene tells a story.
