A Town Festival Born from Collective Commitment
Created in 2021 by the Saffré municipal team, the Saffré une Fête festival was born from a desire to reinvent the town's traditional association forum by adding a cultural and festive dimension. During the Covid period, elected officials proposed a new open-air format at the Château de Saffré site, combining an association forum and family entertainment. The success of this first edition gave birth to an annual event for the start of the school year, open, dynamic, and friendly, which brings together the 4,000 inhabitants of this Loire-Atlantique commune and their neighbors each year.
Music, Street Arts, and Discoveries at the Château
Each edition of Saffré une Fête offers a rich and varied artistic program: street performances, concerts, brass bands, parades, circus, magic, and public criers animate the Château park throughout the afternoon and evening. The invited companies offer shows accessible to all ages, from toddlers to adults, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Among the artists and companies that have marked previous editions: Cie Magik Fabrik, Cie Syllabe, Cie DBK, Cie Aziadé, Cie Ail du Tigre, Cie Magic Meeting, Les Soeurs Tartellini, Radio Byzance, Karlbanik's Orchestra, Guinguette Pocket, Rolimax, and Destroy of Destruction.
An XXL Association Forum
At the heart of the festival, the association forum brings together over thirty local associations and initiatives in the Château park. This gathering allows visitors to discover the richness of Saffré's associative life: sports, artistic, cultural, and leisure activities are represented. Complementary activities enrich the forum: a Repair'Café to fix objects, a media library sale to find books at low prices, and other participatory surprises.
An Opening Performance in the Villages
Since the 2nd edition in 2022, the festival begins on Friday evening with a decentralized opening performance in one of the villages of the commune, an original format that brings culture closer to the residents. This friendly outdoor event, in a rural setting, launches the festive dynamic of the weekend before the big day on Saturday at the Château.
