The 13th edition of Le Tout-petit festival runs from Tuesday, October 13th to Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, across the twelve municipalities of Erdre & Gesvres, north of Nantes. Featuring fourteen performances including dance, circus, music, puppetry, object theatre, animated film, and cine-concerts for children as young as 3 months old, held in local venues, schools, libraries, and early childhood centers. Tickets are a flat rate of €3 per child and adult, with several free events hosted in libraries. Ticket sales open on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026.
Le Tout-petit festival 2026 — 13th Edition
The thirteenth edition takes place over eight days, from Tuesday, October 13th to Tuesday, October 20th, 2026, across the twelve municipalities of the Erdre & Gesvres community. Around fifty sessions are scheduled in performance halls, schools, media libraries, parks, and early childhood facilities.

The program includes: Les oreilles en cœur by Compagnie Charabia (music, from 6 months), Moi peau by Compagnie Hanoumat (dance, from 3 years), the six-short-film collection Le Monde à l'envers (from 3 years), Toubouge by Compagnie Les Fées Railleuses (circus, from 1 year), A [tendre] by Marion Uguen (dance and objects, from 18 months), Babilbeloola by Collectif AÏE AÏE AÏE (a cappella music, 0-3 years), Pierre & Plume by Compagnie L'atelier flottant (puppets, from 3 years), Kabine by Compagnie La Balbutie (visual theatre, from 18 months), Ludilo by Compagnie Le Mouton Carré (object theatre, from 18 months), Pluie ? by Benoît Sicat (music, from 1 year), the cine-concert Terriblement mignons by Éric Philippon and Frédéric Hamon (from 3 years), Coquilles by Compagnie Amala Dianor (dance, from 1 year), Lueur by Cirque de la Guirlande (from 3 years), and L'O de l'eau by La Collective des Adventices (music and dance, from 3 months).
Each show lasts between 25 and 45 minutes and has a recommended minimum age, which organizers ask attendees to respect. Six of these shows will tour across two or three different municipalities.
Free Events
L'O de l'eau will be performed for free at the Les Touches library on October 15th and at the Héric media library on October 16th (reservations required with each venue). The Pop Up workshop-performance by Compagnie AmieAmi will be held on October 17th at the Fay-de-Bretagne media library. The interactive exhibition Expo vivante Toubouge, a flashlight tour through wire and paper mobiles, is open to the public at the Nort-sur-Erdre media library on October 16th and 17th.
Outreach Programs
From October 13th to 15th, Justine Curatolo will lead Babils workshops in early childhood centers in Casson, Petit-Mars, Saint-Mars-du-Désert, Sucé-sur-Erdre, and Treillières. Artists will also visit local care facilities: Mathilde Lechat at the Résidence La Roche Maillard in Vigneux-de-Bretagne and the MAS Diapason in Grandchamp-des-Fontaines; Compagnie Hanoumat at the Résidence La Hautière in Sucé-sur-Erdre; and Marie Abela and Claire Dufois at the Saint-Joseph foyer in Les Touches with their concert La Main Gestueuse.
Reservations and Pricing
Tickets are a flat rate of €3 per show for both children and adults; booking is essential. Ticket sales open on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, online at billetterie.hors-saison.fr or by phone at 02 28 02 22 52. Seating is unassigned, and latecomers may be refused entry once a performance has begun. School sessions are €5 per student, including mediation workshops and transport.

Le Tout-petit festival: Artistic Awakening for Little Ones in Erdre et Gesvres
Since 2008, Le Tout-petit festival has been the premier cultural event dedicated to early childhood in the Erdre & Gesvres community, north of Nantes. This biennial festival invites toddlers as young as 3 months and their accompanying adults to share their first artistic experiences together.
A Project Born from a Community Charter
In response to rapid population growth and requests from early childhood professionals, the elected officials of Erdre et Gesvres developed a community charter for young children based on three pillars: professional training, artist residencies in childcare facilities, and a unifying cultural highlight. The festival is the most visible aspect of this initiative. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture (DRAC Pays de la Loire), the Loire-Atlantique Department, and the National Education system.
Twelve Municipalities, Eight Days of Shows
Each edition runs from Tuesday to the following Tuesday in October, spanning all twelve municipalities in the area: Casson, Fay-de-Bretagne, Grandchamp-des-Fontaines, Héric, Les Touches, Nort-sur-Erdre, Notre-Dame-des-Landes, Petit-Mars, Saint-Mars-du-Désert, Sucé-sur-Erdre, Treillières, and Vigneux-de-Bretagne. Performances take place in theaters, schools, media centers, parks, daycare centers, and early childhood hubs, deeply integrating the festival into the local professional network.
Programming for the Very Young
The festival hosts a dozen companies from across France, featuring creations designed specifically for very young audiences: music, dance, object theater, puppetry, circus, visual theater, animated film, and cine-concerts. Each show has a recommended minimum age, ranging from 3 months to 3 years, and lasts between 25 and 45 minutes. Around fifty sessions are scheduled per edition, at a flat rate of €3 per child and adult. Additionally, there are free events held in libraries and media centers.
A Festival Powered by Hors-saison
Le Tout-petit festival is organized by the Erdre & Gesvres community under the brand Hors-saison, les échappées culturelles en Erdre & Gesvres, which programs youth and family shows throughout the year across the territory. The festival's programming is led by Marie Aguillon, with administration and production by Virginie Chatellier, arts and cultural education by Manon Lerat and Malone Le Port, the book and reading project by Julie Saint-Ouen, and technical management by Ronan Jochaud. Barbara Nourry, Vice-President for Cultural Outreach, provides political leadership.
