Zone de Turbulences: The Festival That Thrills Families in Anjou
Since its first edition in 2020, the Zone de Turbulences festival has established itself as a must-see event for performing arts for young audiences in Maine-et-Loire. Supported by the THV (Théâtre de l'Hôtel de Ville) in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, this festival brings together a dozen partner cultural structures from the Angers metropolitan area around a rich and eclectic program.
A Multidisciplinary Program
Theater, dance, music, puppetry, visual arts, circus: Zone de Turbulences offers about forty shows and events designed for all ages, from toddlers to adults. The invited companies, both local and national, present contemporary creations that question, move, and make people laugh, with a constant commitment to artistic excellence and accessibility.
The festival unfolds in numerous partner venues: the THV in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, Le Chabada in Angers, Le Vallon des Arts in Écouflant, Le Carré des Arts in Verrières-en-Anjou, Le Quai-CDN of Angers, the CNDC, the Théâtre du Champ de Bataille, the Centre Brassens in Avrillé, the University of Angers, the Municipal Theaters of Angers (T.MA), and other towns like Les Ponts-de-Cé, Loire-Authion, and Beaucouzé.
A Festival for All Generations
Zone de Turbulences aims to be a space for intergenerational encounters. The shows are designed to be shared with family, fostering exchange and shared discovery of various artistic forms. Mediation activities, workshops, and artist meet-and-greets complement the program, making the festival a special time for cultural sharing.
A Network of Committed Venues
The strength of the festival lies in the territorial network it creates among a dozen cultural structures in the Angers metropolitan area. This network allows it to reach a large and diverse audience by offering shows in local venues, close to residents. This collective dynamic demonstrates the commitment of cultural stakeholders in the region to young audiences and contemporary creation.
