About Nantes Photography Fortnight

Since 1997, the Quinzaine photographique nantaise has brought together a team of around fifteen volunteers every autumn with a single goal: to showcase photography in all its forms, from established artists to emerging talents. The festival takes place across fifteen different venues throughout Nantes and its surrounding area, including galleries, artist studios, and municipal spaces, all of which offer free admission. Each year, a new theme serves as the common thread for the entire program.

Nantes Photography Fortnight — edition 2026

For its 30th anniversary, the Quinzaine photographique nantaise celebrates a double milestone: thirty years of the festival and the bicentenary of photography. This year's theme, "Collection," explores the ways we gather images, tracing the journey from the early archives of Eugène Atget and Lucien Roy to contemporary practices. The QPN Prize, which has honored a photographer annually since 2006, is taking a break this year to host a retrospective featuring all twenty of its past winners.
