Every summer, the small village of Salettes (43150) comes alive with festivities when the Salettes Festival Committee organizes its now traditional Salettes en Fête. For two days, the village square transforms into a festive space where music, dance, conviviality, and entertainment for the whole family blend together. Nestled on the high plateaus of Haute-Loire, between the Mézenc massif and the Loire valley, this village of 143 inhabitants offers a rural and authentic setting for this popular celebration that brings together locals and visitors from the surrounding areas.

Variety Concerts and Dance Evenings

The Salettes en Fête program revolves around variety concerts and dance evenings that liven up the village summer nights. The shows begin in the late afternoon with a friendly musical aperitif, before giving way to evening concerts. Over the years, the festival has hosted orchestras and artists from the French festive scene, including the Orchestre Laurent Comtat, the group Émile et Images, and the tribute band Tribute Goldmen. Themed evenings, such as gypsy nights or 80s nights, also punctuate the program, followed by DJ sets and dance entertainment that extend the festivities late into the night.

Despite the village's small size, the festival attracts several hundred people each year from neighboring communes and the Mézenc Loire Meygal region. The Mézenc Loire Meygal Tourist Office promotes the event, contributing to its reach beyond the commune. The festival benefits from the support of the Salettes town hall and the commitment of a team of dedicated volunteers who keep the festive and solidarity spirit of this little corner of Haute-Loire alive.
