Major open-air concerts at the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans
Saline Royale Live is an open-air music event organized within the grounds of the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Launched in 2025 with the opening of the Claude-Nicolas Ledoux hall, this contemporary music concert program hosts internationally renowned artists in an exceptional heritage setting. The 2026 edition features two major evenings on July 25th and 26th with Gims and Sting as headliners, for a capacity of 20,000 spectators per night.
The Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans, a masterpiece by architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux and a UNESCO World Heritage site, opens its doors to contemporary music with the Saline Royale Live program. This new musical event features concerts by nationally and internationally renowned artists within the historic monument grounds.
The Royal Saltworks offers an unparalleled setting for open-air concerts. Ledoux's semi-circular architecture, the stone buildings, and the gardens create natural acoustics and a striking visual ambiance. The main stage is set up in the heart of the grounds, facing the audience gathered on the historic esplanade.
The site can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators per evening for major concerts, making Saline Royale Live one of the most significant music events in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
Saline Royale Live offers a varied program mixing:
In addition to the major evening events, the Royal Saltworks offers more intimate concerts in the gardens throughout the summer: folk pop, classical guitar, tropical hip-hop, electro pop, and nu-jazz in the enchanting setting of the festival gardens.
Saline Royale Live is part of the Royal Saltworks' cultural season, which also includes concerts by the Saline Royale Academy (classical music), the Garden Festival, and various performances. The creation of the Claude-Nicolas Ledoux hall in 2023 has strengthened the site's cultural mission by providing a high-quality covered space for concerts and conferences.
