Festival du livre et remise du Prix Georges-Emmanuel Clancier
The Salon du Livre de Bugeat is a literary event organized by the association Les Amis du Pays de Bugeat as part of the Sport and Culture Festival. This day brings together many writers and publishers, offers creative workshops, readings, and hosts the presentation of the prestigious Georges-Emmanuel Clancier Short Story Prize. A friendly literary gathering in the heart of Corrèze.
Each year, the association Les Amis du Pays de Bugeat organizes a Book Fair that brings together writers, publishers, and passionate readers at the Foyer Rural in Bugeat. This event is part of the Sport and Culture Festival, creating a day rich in literary encounters and discoveries.
From 10 am to 6 pm, the Book Fair opens its doors with a varied program that highlights literary creation in all its forms.
Many writers and publishers are present throughout the day to meet the public, present their works, and sign their books. Novels, essays, poetry, children's literature, regional books: all genres are represented.
The highlight of the day: the presentation of the Georges-Emmanuel Clancier Short Story Prize at 11 am. This prestigious literary prize rewards the best short stories of the year. The ceremony is accompanied by readings of the winning stories by their authors, with musical accompaniment (flute).
Georges-Emmanuel Clancier (1914-2018) was a French poet, novelist, and literary critic, a major figure in Limousin literature.
The fair offers a rich program of activities:
Special attention is paid to young readers with dedicated activities: creative workshops, meetings with children's authors, book exchanges between children... The goal is to pass on the pleasure of reading to new generations.
Admission to the Salon du Livre de Bugeat is free. This literary day aims to be accessible to all in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It's an opportunity to discover new authors, meet your favorite writers, and share your passion for reading.
