A Traveling Festival of Musical Excellence
The Mas Musici Festival is an international music event that takes place every summer in Creuse, around Faux-la-Montagne. Founded in 2016, this chamber music festival offers about ten concerts spread over several weeks and in different towns of the department, providing a rich program mixing classical, contemporary, and experimental music.
An International Musical Crossroads
Mas Musici stands out for the diversity of nationalities represented among its performers: Germany, Armenia, Belgium, South Korea, France, Japan, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, and Russia. This international dimension enriches the program and offers the people of Creuse unique musical encounters. The repertoire covered spans a wide spectrum, from the works of Mozart, Chopin, and Saint-Saëns to the most audacious contemporary creations.
When Music Meets Visual Arts
The festival's originality also lies in its dialogue between music and visual arts. Each concert is accompanied by an original visual creation, made especially for the performance venue. This transdisciplinary approach transforms each concert into a complete sensory experience, set within remarkable heritage sites — churches, village halls, and natural spaces in Creuse.
