Meeting independent winemakers from France
The Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants d'Angers brings together dozens of winemakers from all wine regions of France each year at the Centre des Congrès Jean Monnier. For three days, visitors can taste and buy directly from producers. This show highlights artisanal know-how and the diversity of French terroirs, from the Loire Valley to Burgundy, via Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley.
Since its first edition in 2023, the Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants d'Angers has established itself as a major event for wine lovers in Maine-et-Loire. Organized by the federation of Independent Winemakers of France, this event takes place annually at the Centre des Congrès Jean Monnier, in the heart of Angers.
The fair brings together dozens of independent winemakers from all French wine regions. Each exhibitor cultivates their vines, makes the wine, and sells it themselves, guaranteeing full traceability and a direct link between the producer and the consumer. Visitors can thus taste wines from the Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhône, Alsace, Languedoc, and many other appellations.
The fair offers a free tasting experience, with an INAO glass provided at the entrance (or for a small fee of €2). The winemakers passionately share their expertise, their winemaking methods, and the specificities of their terroirs. Events and tasting workshops allow visitors to deepen their oenological knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.
Independent Winemakers are distinguished by their quality charter: each member adheres to strict commitments regarding vine cultivation, winemaking, and bottling at the estate. This approach guarantees visitors the authenticity and quality of the wines presented, far from the mass distribution channels. The fair is an opportunity to forge a special connection with the winemakers, discuss their farming practices, and discover vintages often unavailable outside the estate.
The location of this fair in Angers is no coincidence. The city is situated in the heart of the Loire vineyard, one of the largest and most diverse in France. The fair thus complements Angers' wine event offerings, alongside the Salon des Vins de Loire and the Aux Vignobles fair, making Angers a strong hub for wine tourism in France.
