Salon Tech & Bio: The benchmark for organic farming in France

Since 2007, Salon Tech & Bio has become the unmissable event for professionals in organic farming and alternative techniques in France and Europe. Initiated by the Drôme Chamber of Agriculture, this international trade show is now held every two years at the Lycée agricole du Valentin in Bourg-lès-Valence, in the heart of the Drôme, France's leading organic department.

A professional trade show of international scope

With over 350 exhibitors from all over Europe and nearly 20,000 visitors expected at each edition, Tech & Bio stands out for its ability to bring together the diversity of the agricultural world around a common goal: to advance sustainable practices in the field. The show covers all agricultural sectors: field crops, viticulture, fruit growing, market gardening, livestock farming, beekeeping, and aromatic plants.

Open-air demonstrations on 18 hectares

The unique feature of Tech & Bio lies in its open-air demonstrations on the 18 hectares of the Lycée agricole du Valentin. Visitors can observe in real conditions the operation of agricultural machinery, mechanical weeding techniques, innovative irrigation systems, and biological crop protection methods. These full-scale demonstrations are the strength and originality of the show.

Conferences, workshops, and professional exchanges

The Tech & Bio program includes over 70 conferences and several hundred workshops and demonstrations covering all aspects of organic farming: organic conversion, technical crop management, processing, marketing, regulations, research, and innovation. Exchanges between farmers, researchers, technical advisors, and suppliers form the vibrant heart of the show.

Strong territorial roots in Drôme

The choice to locate Tech & Bio in the Drôme is not insignificant: the department is the leading organic department in France in terms of the number of farms and certified areas. The Lycée agricole du Valentin, an institution committed to sustainable development and organic farming, provides an ideal setting for this show that combines theory and practice. Tech & Bio contributes to the influence of the Drôme organic sector and the economic dynamism of the region.
