About Chestnut Fair
The Chestnut and Walnut Fair (Foire des Châtaignes et des Noix) is the annual autumn fair in the village of Pavezin, located in the Pilat Regional Natural Park. It takes place on a Sunday in October on the grounds surrounding the La Galoche hall at 1155 route du Col. Visitors can enjoy local food and craft stalls, entertainment for all ages, a refreshment bar, and a meal featuring traditional sausage served inside the hall. Admission is free.
The October 2023 event was organized by the Maranch'Loisirs association and the ASSCP (Association Sportive Sainte-Croix Pavezin), while the October 2024 event, marked as the 13th edition, was organized solely by the ASSCP. In 2025, the town hall announced the same event at the same location, organized by the same group, under the name Autumn Fair.
As of mid-August 2026, neither the town hall nor the ASSCP has released a date or program for the upcoming edition.

2026 Edition
No source confirms the date of October 18, 2026, or the details for this year's event. The two channels that typically announce the fair—the Pavezin town hall and the ASSCP—had not published any information by mid-August 2026. The ASSCP remains active, however, as they promoted their football paella event in May and June 2026 through these same channels.
The date is usually announced in September or October. In 2025, the town hall published its announcement on September 25th for a fair held on October 19th.

The fair was held on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (which the ASSCP presented as its 13th edition); and Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, under the name Foire d'Automne. The location remains consistent: the parking lot and surrounding area of the Salle La Galoche, 1155 route du Col.
There is no fixed rule for the date. It fell on the third Sunday of October in 2024 and 2025, but on the fourth Sunday in 2023.
Program
The 2026 program has not been released. To give an idea of the format, the 2024 edition featured a market with local and artisanal products, a bouncy castle for children, a brass band, a hip-hop demonstration around 2:30 PM, "saucisse à la grappe" served indoors starting at noon, and a refreshment stand with snacks run by the football club. None of these activities are automatically confirmed for 2026.
