Contemporary music festival (funk, jazz, afrobeat, world music) on the banks of the Save
Sav'à Groover is the contemporary music festival organised by the Guitarensave association since 2009 in Montaigut-sur-Save, Haute-Garonne. Over a long June weekend, the festival brings together funk, jazz, afrobeat, world music, and shows for young audiences in a friendly atmosphere on the banks of the Save.
The event spans three neighbouring communes — Montaigut-sur-Save, Saint-Paul-sur-Save, and Grenade — and welcomes approximately 1 000 spectators per edition. Formerly known as Guitare en Save until its 15th edition, the festival adopted the name Sav'à Groover in 2025 to reflect the broadening of its programming to include groove and world music.
Born in 2009 under the name Guitare en Save, the festival was first held in the Bouconne forest before setting up its stages in Montaigut-sur-Save, in front of the village hall. Since its 15th edition, it has taken the name Sav'à Groover to better express its current musical eclecticism: funk, jazz, afrobeat, world music, original creations for all audiences.
Each year, the festival offers a program curated by two programmers, mixing established artists and new discoveries. The weekend traditionally opens with a cinema evening at L'Entract' cinema in Grenade, followed by concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Place des Fêtes in Montaigut-sur-Save, and concludes on Sunday with shows for young audiences and artistic walks.
Sav'à Groover extends across three communes in the Toulouse metropolitan area: Montaigut-sur-Save (the heart of the festival), Saint-Paul-sur-Save, and Grenade. The festival maintains a balanced budget between public subsidies (35%), private subsidies (30%), and ticketing/refreshments (35%).
On-site catering via food trucks, free parking near the village hall.
The 16th edition of Sav'à Groover takes place from Thursday, June 4 to Sunday, June 7, 2026 in Montaigut-sur-Save, Saint-Paul-sur-Save, and Grenade (Haute-Garonne). Four days of funk, jazz, afrobeat, and world music, with a cinema opening on Thursday, concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings, and shows for young audiences on Sunday.
For its 16th edition, Sav'à Groover brings together funk, jazz, afrobeat, world music, and shows for all audiences over four days in three towns along the Save river: Montaigut-sur-Save, Saint-Paul-sur-Save, and Grenade.
The program includes: a cinema opening night at L'Entract' in Grenade featuring the documentary Soul Kids, two evenings of concerts on the Place de la Salle des Fêtes in Montaigut-sur-Save, and a Sunday dedicated to families with a show for young audiences and a musical walk in nature.
