Qualifying race for the French Championships
The Semi-Marathon de Vierzon is a qualifying event for the French Championships, offering a 21.1 km course in 3 loops through the Villages district. The event also hosts a 5 km race accessible to everyone.
Organized for over 45 years, the Semi-Marathon de Vierzon has become a benchmark event in the department. This 21.1 km race, qualifying for the French Championships, attracts runners of all levels each year to take on the challenge on a demanding course.
The course consists of 3 loops through the Villages district, starting and finishing at the Gymnase Fernand Léger. Runners will take Rue Jules Guesde, Chemin du Verdin, Chemin de Saint Priest, and run along the Canal de Berry, offering a varied and technical route.
The event offers two races: the 21.1 km semi-marathon with a time limit of 2h30 (time barrier at 1h15 at the 10th km) and a 5 km race open to all. Bib collection takes place on the day at the Gymnase Fernand Léger from 1:30 PM.
