About Sign'Ô Festival
Sign'Ô elevates sign language into a true art form. Every year, the festival brings together deaf and hearing companies in Toulouse and Tournefeuille for performances featuring theatre, dance, and sign-singing. Events take place across several city venues—including Théâtre Sorano, Théâtre du Grand Rond, Théâtre Garonne, and Marionnettissimo—as well as on the forecourt of the Les Abattoirs museum, which hosts the festival village.
Organized by the L'ASTRE association, the event blends LSF (French Sign Language) performances, workshops, guided tours in sign language, and street entertainment, welcoming both deaf and hearing audiences to share the same experience.
Sign'Ô Festival — edition 2026
Edition #0.3 expands the festival to a new central hub: this year, the forecourt of the musée des Abattoirs hosts the festival village, featuring stalls, street performances, and non-stop entertainment. The program at our partner theaters includes companies such as On Off ("Nous sommes des filles sans histoire"), Osez!Vous ("Mon amie Endo"), IVT with their sign-language singing ("Je(s) Nomade"), and Danse des signes ("Celui qui voit"), alongside a Deaf Party and an exhibition at the Galerie des publics.
A village at the musée des Abattoirs
For this edition, the forecourt of the musée des Abattoirs becomes the heart of the festival: artisan and association stalls, clowns, juggling, soap bubbles, concerts, and slam poetry will keep the village buzzing throughout the day.
A program spread across seven venues
Performances will take place at the Théâtre du Grand Rond, Théâtre Sorano, Marionnettissimo, the Bijou concert hall, Théâtre Jules Julien, the La brique rouge cultural center, Bajo El Mar, and the municipal Phare hall in Tournefeuille. An exhibition titled "LIEN" will be on display at the Galerie des publics from September 9th to 13th, featuring artists Claire Cervantes, Marine Comtes, and Sylvanie Tendron.

The festival is organized by the association L'ASTRE, with the Haute-Garonne Departmental Tourism Committee among its partners.

The festival venues—Théâtre du Grand Rond, Théâtre Sorano, Les Abattoirs, and Théâtre Garonne—are accessible by metro (Line B, François Verdier station with a transfer at Jean Jaurès) or by train (Marengo-SNCF station, a fifteen-minute walk away). Free park-and-ride facilities are available for those traveling to the city center.
