The Sorbidean Festibala (Festival In Creation) is a unique artistic event that places the creation process at the center of the festival experience. Founded in 2018 by La Fabrique Affamée, a theater company based in the Basque Country, this festival invites the public to share the fragile and magical moment when shows are born: where everything is possible, where invention and madness have their place.

Eihartzea Park, a cradle of creation

The Eihartzea park in Hasparren hosts the festival in a green and peaceful setting. From 9 am to 11 pm for a week, this park transforms into a space for artistic life where visitors can stroll with a coffee in hand, sit on the grass to attend an open rehearsal, discover the results of amateur workshops, or experience the emotion of a first performance.

Theater, dance, circus, and more

The festival offers a rich and multidisciplinary program. Theater, the core discipline of La Fabrique Affamée, is featured alongside contemporary dance, circus, concerts, magic, exhibitions, readings, and photography. Each edition presents a unique mix of completed shows and creation stages, offering the public a rare and intimate view of the artistic work.

Workshops and public participation

One of the unique aspects of Sorbidean Festibala is the emphasis on amateur workshops. Throughout the week, artistic practice workshops are offered to locals and visitors, led by professional artists. The presentations of these workshops are an integral part of the program, joyfully blurring the line between artists and spectators.
