About Festival CAP !
Festival CAP ! — edition 2026
The CAP! Festival returns on October 10th and 11th, 2026, for its second edition, this time hosted in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse instead of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax. This transition-focused festival, supported by the Landes Department, moves to a different town each year. The program features a roundtable discussion with climatologist Christophe Cassou, various booths, an artisanal market, and a concert at the Parc des Arènes, followed by a nature-themed day at the Bois de Fontaine with botanical walks and tree climbing. Admission is free for both days.
2026 Edition: The 2nd, in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse
The CAP! Festival, themed "The Landes today for tomorrow," is organized by the Landes Department and the town of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse. Following the 2024 event at Lac de Christus and the Abesse site in Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, this second edition will take place on October 10th and 11th, 2026, across two locations in Tyrosse. Key themes include housing, energy, food, mobility, the environment, and culture.

The day kicks off at 10:30 AM with an "inverted" roundtable at the Jean-Claude-Sescousse middle school cafeteria, followed by booths, workshops, and an artisanal market in the Parc des Arènes, leading up to an 6:30 PM concert. Food trucks and a DJ set by the Solar Sound System association will be on-site.

Festival CAP!: Transitions Celebrated in Les Landes
The Festival CAP! was born in 2024 from a joint initiative by the Department of Landes, the Town Hall of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, the regional daily newspaper Sud Ouest, and the Maison Écocitoyenne des Landes. This original festival brings together for a weekend the actors and citizens involved in the ecological, energy, food, and social transitions of the Landes region.
A Rich and Participatory Program
Festival CAP! offers an eclectic program combining round tables and conferences led by experts and field actors, live performances including accordion musical tales, concerts, and practical workshops on eco-friendly actions, gardening, responsible cooking, and the circular economy. A market of artisans and local producers showcases Landes know-how committed to sustainable practices.
Two Days, Two Iconic Locations
The festival unfolds over two days and two complementary sites. On Saturday, activities are concentrated near the Grange du Lac de Christus, in a preserved natural setting in the heart of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax. On Sunday, the festival takes over the magnificent Abbesse site, a former thermal estate nestled in the forest, for hikes, guided storytelling walks, and a festive outdoor meal.
A Collective Commitment for the Landes of Tomorrow
Festival CAP! aims to become an essential annual event for all those who wish to inform themselves, exchange ideas, and act for a more sustainable future in the Landes. Associations, enthusiasts, artisans, and professionals share their thoughts and solutions regarding our lifestyles through stands, workshops, conferences, and activities accessible to all.
A Free Festival Open to All
The entire program of Festival CAP! is completely free and open to all audiences, young and old. This free access reflects the organizers' desire to encourage the widest possible citizen participation in the region's transition challenges.
