Ten days to celebrate love in all its forms in Strasbourg
Every February, Strasbourg trades its Christmas lights for pink and boldly celebrates love. For ten days around Valentine's Day, about a hundred events — concerts, shows, unusual dinners, night baths, romantic walks — transform the Alsatian capital into a city of lovers. From the Slow Party to a Batorama cruise, including seduction workshops, Strasbourg Mon Amour reinvents romance every year with poetry, humor, and freedom.
Created in 2013, Strasbourg Mon Amour has become in a few years one of the most original cultural events in the city. Every February, for ten days around Valentine's Day, the Alsatian capital transforms into the capital of lovers. Half-timbered facades are adorned with luminous hearts, shop windows play along, and an eclectic program invites you to explore love in all its forms — romantic, familial, friendly, sensual, or whimsical.
What sets Strasbourg Mon Amour apart from classic Valentine's Day celebrations is the bold diversity of its programming. In a single edition, you can go from a candlelit night bath in the Art Deco municipal baths, to a romantic cruise on a Batorama boat, a gypsy jazz concert in a former tobacco factory, a literary brunch, an Argentine tango workshop, or a romantic treasure hunt in the alleys of Petite France.
An unmissable highlight, the Slow Party brings together hundreds of dancers for an evening of lively slow dances in a spectacular setting. Another cult event: "Love on the dancefloor," a DJ night organized in a church, an unlikely alliance of the sacred and the festive. These offbeat events, often sold out, embody the free and inventive spirit of the festival.
The festival takes over emblematic and unusual venues in Strasbourg: the Opéra, the Palais Rohan, the municipal swimming pools, bookstores, restaurants, and even public transport. Shopkeepers in the city actively participate, offering special menus, themed window displays, and surprise entertainment. All of Strasbourg vibrates to the rhythm of love.
With its 13th edition in 2026, the festival has found its audience and identity. It now attracts visitors from far beyond Alsace, seduced by this joyful, inclusive, and inventive approach to the lovers' festival. Between Alsatian tradition and festive modernity, Strasbourg Mon Amour proves that love can be talked about without being cheesy, with elegance and a touch of madness.
