Murs 2 Couleurs, street art comes to Ardèche
The Street Art Festival "Murs 2 Couleurs" is a unique urban art event organized in Mariac, in the heart of Ardèche. Initiated by street artist Mite and Gérard Brun, this festival transforms industrial facades into monumental works of art every year.
Giant frescoes on the theme of sustainable development
The heart of the festival lies in the creation of giant mural frescoes of over 1,000 m² created live by more than 20 graffiti artists from all over France and beyond. The common theme of sustainable development gives a committed dimension to these spectacular creations, painted on the imposing facade of the Établissements Chomarat at the Pont de Fromentière.
A festive and family-friendly program
Beyond artistic creation, the festival offers a full program of activities: DJ sets during the day, rock concerts in the evening, a regional artisanal market, and activities for young people. The graffiti initiation workshops are open to children from 7 years old, allowing everyone to try their hand at spray painting. Inflatable games, a paddling pool, and a refreshment stand with local beer complete the offer.
Industrial heritage enhanced by art
By taking over the walls of the Chomarat factory, the festival creates a unique dialogue between industrial heritage and contemporary art. The frescoes created during previous editions remain visible all year round, transforming the site into a true open-air museum of street art in a rural setting. The collective End to End from Clermont-Ferrand is among the artists who have contributed to this permanent gallery.
Three days of creation and celebration
The festival takes place over three days at the end of August, offering a lively program between artistic creation during the day and concerts in the evening. The event attracts a diverse audience, from urban art enthusiasts to families, in a relaxed and creative atmosphere in the heart of the Ardèche countryside.
