Tremplin Ciné: Giving Young Filmmakers a Chance

Since its creation in 2021, Tremplin Ciné has established itself as an essential springboard for young filmmakers in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The festival, supported by the D'Ici et d'Ailleurs association, addresses a need: to offer young creators a space for screening, recognition, and training in the field of amateur and emerging cinema.

A Festival for 10-23 Year Olds

Tremplin Ciné specifically targets young people aged 10 to 23 who have not yet received professional film training. This broad age range allows for the discovery of diverse perspectives, from the first film experiments of teenagers to the more elaborate projects of young adults. Submitted films must be short films, covering all themes.

Competition and Awards

Selected films are screened before a jury of professionals and an enthusiastic audience. Several awards are presented:

• Grand Prix: rewards the best film in the competition
• Audience Award: given by the spectators
• High School Students' Award: presented by a jury of high school students
• BAM! Award: distinguishes a remarkable film
• FRAC Franche-Comté Award: for a film with an artistic dimension
• Amnesty International Franche-Comté Award: for a film addressing discrimination

Masterclasses and Workshops

Beyond screenings, the festival offers masterclasses led by film professionals, practical workshops, and meetings allowing young filmmakers to exchange, learn, and develop their skills.

Prestigious Cultural Venues

The festival takes place in renowned cultural venues in Besançon: the L'Espace theater - Les 2 Scènes, a national stage in Besançon, and the FRAC Franche-Comté (Regional Contemporary Art Fund). These partnerships demonstrate the festival's institutional recognition and offer young filmmakers a professional and rewarding screening environment.

Rapid Growth

In just a few editions, Tremplin Ciné has grown from a modest first event in 2021 to a structured and recognized festival. The 5th edition in 2025 received dozens of films in competition, confirming the enthusiasm of young people from Franche-Comté for cinema and audiovisual creation.
