Independent metal festival at the Métaphone of Oignies, in the heart of the UNESCO Mining Basin
Tyrant Fest is an independent metal festival that takes place every autumn at the Métaphone, on the 9-9bis site in Oignies, in the Pas-de-Calais Mining Basin, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Created in 2018, this festival quickly found its place in the French metal scene by offering a demanding program mixing post-metal, atmospheric black metal, doom, progressive metal, and avant-garde. Over two days, Tyrant Fest brings together European and international bands in a unique heritage setting, the former mining pit converted into a cultural hub.
