About uNopia Festival

The uNopia festival returns for its third edition, featuring a vibrant mix of classical music, chanson, storytelling, theater, and clowning. From August 28 to 30, 2026, the uNopia stage-truck will travel through the villages of Ardèche, offering a colorful program: the theatrical piano show "La Fantaisie des Schumann," "La Bal(l)ade de Nijinski" based on a text by Olivier Py, Bach's Suites performed by cellist Bruno Philippe, a storytelling walk by Laurence Mayor, and Emma la clown's moving tribute to Anne Sylvestre. All accompanied by cakes, drinks, and local products.

The uNopia festival is a traveling performing arts event that tours the villages of Ardèche, between Flaviac and the Ferme de Tallans. Its unique feature: a stage-truck that unfolds to host performances right in the heart of local communities, in parks and on farms. The program blends classical music, chanson, storytelling, theater, and clowning, featuring creations and co-productions with renowned artists (Guilhem Fabre, Bruno Philippe, Jérôme Pouly, Bertrand de Roffignac, Laurence Mayor, Emma la clown) and prestigious partners such as the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Compagnie Avec Cœur et Panache.

The festival is organized by the uNopia association, under the direction of Coline Oddon. Each edition focuses on intimacy with the audience and exploring the repertoire (Schumann, Bach, Anne Sylvestre…) in a friendly setting where visitors can enjoy both the performances and local Ardèche products.

uNopia Festival — edition 2026

The 3rd edition of the uNopia festival takes place from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the Parc du Gaucher in Flaviac and the Ferme de Tallans. The program features: "La Fantaisie des Schumann," Bach's Suites performed by Bruno Philippe, "La Bal(l)ade de Nijinski" based on Olivier Py, a storytelling walk with Laurence Mayor, and "Emma aime Anne," a heartfelt tribute by Emma la clown to Anne Sylvestre.

La Fantaisie des Schumann — A quintessential romantic masterpiece, Robert Schumann's Fantaisie Op. 17 was composed when he was 26, deeply in love with his future wife, Clara Wieck. Across three movements, it traces the turbulent life of this legendary romantic couple, navigating passion, madness, and memory. Guilhem Fabre and Jérôme Pouly bring these two iconic figures to life in a hybrid performance, blending music and spoken word based on an original text by Coline Oddon. A co-production by uNopia and Avec Cœur et Panache.

Bach's Suites by Bruno Philippe — A world-renowned musician, Bruno Philippe studied cello at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. A laureate of numerous competitions, he has performed in prestigious venues and festivals across France (Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium du Louvre, La Grange au Lac, Festival de Radio France Montpellier-Occitanie) and internationally (Konzerthaus Berlin, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Teatro Colón in Bogotá, Bavarian Radio in Munich). In 2022, he recorded the complete Bach Cello Suites for Harmonia Mundi.

La Bal(l)ade de Nijinski — Drawing from the Journal written by the "god of dance" Vaslav Nijinski during the winter of 1918-1919 in St. Moritz, Olivier Py has created and directed this short-form performance, featuring pianist Guilhem Fabre and actor Bertrand de Roffignac. This show is the result of the first year of collaboration between uNopia and the Théâtre du Châtelet. Not recommended for children under 15.

Storytelling Walk with Laurence Mayor and Anthony Caillet — As a storyteller, actress, playwright, and director, Laurence Mayor gathers and weaves tales from across the globe, sharing them around the Ferme de Tallans. From Persia to Uzbekistan, the adventures of the Sage of Isfahan or Nasr Eddin Hodja come to life through her words, delighting both children and adults. She is accompanied by musician Anthony Caillet on the euphonium.

Emma aime Anne — Emma la clown takes on the songs of Anne Sylvestre, all of which she has learned by heart. A tribute to a great lady of French chanson, the show brings together Meriem Menant (Emma la clown) and Nathalie Miravette, who was Anne Sylvestre's pianist for eleven years. Together, they perform the words and melodies of this composer, author, and performer in a poignant show.
