A festival to warm up the Clermontois summer

The Warm Up Festival was born from the desire of CFC, Le Collectif (Collectif de Musiques Actuelles) to offer a festive and popular musical event in Clermont-Ferrand. As its name suggests, the festival aims to "warm up" the atmosphere at the beginning of summer, by offering Clermontois residents and passing festival-goers an eclectic and high-quality musical program before the summer holidays.

An eclectic and danceable program

The Warm Up Festival stands out for its multidisciplinary program that embraces a wide spectrum of contemporary music:

• Reggae and dub: artists and sound systems for sunny and festive atmospheres
• Hip-hop and rap: the French and international urban scene in the spotlight
• Blues and soul: powerful voices and captivating guitars
• World music: sounds from all corners of the planet
• Electro and DJ sets: to make the audience dance until the end of the night

Among the artists who have marked previous editions, we find bands like Païaka and other groups from the French and international music scene.

La Maison du Peuple, an emblematic venue

The festival takes place on Place du 1er Mai, in front of the Maison du Peuple in Clermont-Ferrand, a place steeped in history and popular culture. This open-air space offers an ideal setting for a contemporary music festival, with enough space to accommodate several stages, catering areas, and a relaxation zone.

The festival site has several facilities for the comfort of festival-goers:

• Camping: camping facilities available for festival-goers coming from afar

CFC, Le Collectif: driving force of the Clermontois music scene

CFC, Le Collectif is an associative structure dedicated to contemporary music in Clermont-Ferrand. Located at La Pépinière de Mai, Place du 1er Mai, the collective supports local artists and organizes musical events to boost Clermont-Ferrand's cultural life. The Warm Up Festival is one of its flagship projects, carried out in partnership with Black Hole Événements and Vox Populi Événements.

Festival History

The Warm Up Festival has had several editions since its creation in 2013. The festival notably took place in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018, with a program that has grown over the years. After a period of interruption, the festival aims to return to the Clermont-Ferrand scene for future editions.
