Free multidisciplinary festival at Parc de la Villette
The 100% Festival is the major multidisciplinary and free event at La Villette, in the heart of Paris's 19th arrondissement. Every spring, from April to May, the festival takes over Parc de la Villette and the Grande Halle to offer an eclectic program celebrating young contemporary creation. Under the label "100% L'Expo", the festival invites the public to discover the works of about sixty recently graduated artists from art schools, through exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, and meetings. Digital art, design, cinema, fashion, photography, and visual arts make up a vast panorama of emerging creation, in a spirit of openness and total freeness.
Every spring, the Parc de la Villette and the Grande Halle host the 100% Festival, a multidisciplinary and entirely free event dedicated to young contemporary creation. The festival has established itself as an unmissable event for discovering emerging talents on the French and international art scene.
At the heart of the festival, 100% L'Expo presents the works of about sixty artists recently graduated from French and European art schools. The exhibition covers a vast panorama of artistic practices: digital art, design, cinema, fashion design, photography, visual arts, installation, and performance. The works are presented in the spaces of the Grande Halle and Parc de la Villette, offering an immersive and accessible experience for all audiences.
Alongside the exhibition, the 100% Festival offers a program of live performances: dance, theater, circus, and performances take place in the various spaces of La Villette. The festival also programs artist talks, participatory workshops, screenings, and debates, creating a space for dialogue between creators and the public.
The 100% Festival stands out for its total freeness. All exhibitions, shows, workshops, and meetings are accessible without a ticket or reservation, subject to availability. This open access policy reflects La Villette's commitment to making culture and contemporary creation accessible to the greatest number of people.
The festival benefits from the unique setting of the Parc de la Villette, one of the largest cultural spaces in Paris with its 55 hectares. The Grande Halle, a former cattle market converted into an exhibition and performance space, offers a remarkable architectural setting for the creations presented. The park also houses the Cité des Sciences, the Philharmonie de Paris, and numerous thematic gardens.
