100% Festival: young contemporary creation at La Villette
Every spring, the Parc de la Villette and the Grande Halle host the 100% Festival, a multidisciplinary and entirely free event dedicated to young contemporary creation. The festival has established itself as an unmissable event for discovering emerging talents on the French and international art scene.
100% L'Expo: showcase of emerging creation
At the heart of the festival, 100% L'Expo presents the works of about sixty artists recently graduated from French and European art schools. The exhibition covers a vast panorama of artistic practices: digital art, design, cinema, fashion design, photography, visual arts, installation, and performance. The works are presented in the spaces of the Grande Halle and Parc de la Villette, offering an immersive and accessible experience for all audiences.
A live performance program
Alongside the exhibition, the 100% Festival offers a program of live performances: dance, theater, circus, and performances take place in the various spaces of La Villette. The festival also programs artist talks, participatory workshops, screenings, and debates, creating a space for dialogue between creators and the public.
Free and open to all
The 100% Festival stands out for its total freeness. All exhibitions, shows, workshops, and meetings are accessible without a ticket or reservation, subject to availability. This open access policy reflects La Villette's commitment to making culture and contemporary creation accessible to the greatest number of people.
An exceptional venue
The festival benefits from the unique setting of the Parc de la Villette, one of the largest cultural spaces in Paris with its 55 hectares. The Grande Halle, a former cattle market converted into an exhibition and performance space, offers a remarkable architectural setting for the creations presented. The park also houses the Cité des Sciences, the Philharmonie de Paris, and numerous thematic gardens.
