Abracada'Sons Festival

A quarter of a century of contemporary music in rural areas

Created in 2001 at the Château de Duras by the Staccato association, the Abracada'Sons Festival has become over the years an unmissable event for contemporary music in Lot-et-Garonne. Driven by a passionate team, its aim is to make bodies and hearts vibrate to eclectic rhythms, prioritizing authenticity and sincere encounters between the public and artists.

A touring festival rooted in its territory

After setting up in Miramont-de-Guyenne in 2008, the festival underwent a major transformation in 2017 by adopting a touring format. Concerts now unfold over several weeks, from September to October, in about twenty communes in Lot-et-Garonne and neighboring departments (Gironde, Dordogne). This approach helps combat the cultural isolation of rural areas and create events closer to the inhabitants.

La Manoque de Tonneins, an emblematic venue

Among the venues hosting the festival, La Manoque, a performance hall located at Cours de Verdun in Tonneins, holds a central place. It is here that the festival's opening night traditionally takes place, featuring the headliners of each edition.

An eclectic and demanding program

The Abracada'Sons Festival's program boldly mixes:

• International headliners: Tiken Jah Fakoly, Fishbone, Brigitte Fontaine, Zoufris Maracas, Les Sheriff
• Developing bands: Lysistrata, Les Touffes Krétiennes, Dirty Fonzy
• Discoveries and regional scene: emerging artists from the Southwest
• DJ sets and festive atmospheres: Don Pablito, Deportivo

From rock to reggae, punk to French chanson, ska, folk, and world music, the festival celebrates musical diversity and artistic exchanges in a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere.

The Staccato association, a rural cultural engine

The Staccato association, founded in 1996 in Miramont-de-Guyenne, is the soul of the festival. Its mission: to promote contemporary music and performing arts through the diffusion and production of live shows, support for artistic projects, and active promotion of the territory. Each year, Staccato organizes between 30 and 40 touring events: concerts, festivals, youth programming, artist residencies.

The Abracada'Sons Festival is distinguished by its friendly spirit and its commitment to making culture accessible to all. Prices remain moderate, with discounts for association members and free entry for children under 12. Food and drink are available on-site during each evening, creating a warm atmosphere conducive to encounters and musical discoveries.
