Music by the Lake
Alti'Fest was born in 2020 from the desire of a local association to create a summer cultural event in Courchevel, rooted in the values of awakening, open-mindedness, and sharing. Initially located on the Pilatus terrace at an altitude of over 2,100 meters, the festival moved to the Praz lake starting in 2023, finding in this natural setting an ideal showcase to welcome a growing audience in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
In just a few editions, Alti'Fest has established itself as a must-attend summer event in the Savoyard resort, attracting an ever-increasing audience — families, vacationers, valley residents — seduced by the quality of the musical programming, the beauty of the setting, and the friendliness of the event. The festival celebrated its 5th edition in 2024, confirming its place in the cultural landscape of the Tarentaise Valley.
An Eclectic and Festive Musical Program
Over two days, Alti'Fest offers over twelve hours of live concerts with a selection of talented artists and renowned bands, covering a wide musical spectrum: reggae, dub, world music, French chanson, rock, ska, and mixed music. The festival favors a festive and danceable program, accessible to all audiences.
Over the years, Alti'Fest has hosted artists such as Yaniss Odua, a figure of French reggae, Babylon Circus, an emblematic group of festive ska from Lyon, Rakoon, a pioneer of electronic dub, Dub Silence, and Solin's. The main stage, set up facing the lake and the peaks, offers a spectacular visual backdrop for concerts that continue until nightfall.
A Festive and Family Village
Beyond music, Alti'Fest cultivates a spirit of a festive village where everyone finds their place. A space dedicated to local artisans and creators offers jewelry, clothing, crafts, and local products. Food stalls offer varied and friendly cuisine, while participatory workshops — Brazilian dance, creative activities — invite young and old to get involved.
DJ sets keep the atmosphere going between concerts and extend the party late into the evening. The entire festival is free to access, true to the philosophy of the organizing association, which aims to make culture accessible to all, without price barriers.
Driven by a team of passionate volunteers and supported by numerous local partners, Alti'Fest embodies a model of a committed and friendly festival, proving that the mountains in summer can offer quality cultural experiences in a spirit of sharing and kindness.
