Three amateur troupes from Périgord and its surroundings performed consecutively at the Foyer Rural, on Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM, for shows marked by laughter and conviviality.

The Villefranche-du-Périgord Amateur Theatre Festival returned in spring 2026 for its 14th edition, organised by the Villefranche-du-Périgord town hall with the merchants' association. Three amateur troupes performed at the Foyer Rural, with each show starting at 8:30 PM, in the warm atmosphere that makes this Périgord Noir event so renowned.
True to its spirit, the 2026 edition gave pride of place to entertainment theatre: comedies, skits, and creations presented by local and regional troupes. The 6 euro entrance fee per evening made the show accessible to everyone.
