Sound and light show, electro concerts at the Château de Duras
Nestled in the main courtyard of the Château des Ducs de Duras, on the border between Lot-et-Garonne and Dordogne, the Anamorphose Festival is a one-of-a-kind event that transforms a 12th-century historical monument into a playground for the senses. The concept is based on anamorphosis, that optical illusion that distorts and reconstructs reality: the castle facade metamorphoses under the effect of video mapping, while the quadraphonic sound envelops the audience in a total immersive experience.
Each edition of the festival offers two open-air evenings with distinct and complementary musical identities. The first evening is traditionally dedicated to hard techno, with a selection of the most impactful artists on the international scene. The second evening explores the world of psytrance, notably with the return of the renowned French label Hadra, an essential reference in the genre.
In total, 10 DJs and live artists perform on stage, powered by a remarkable L-Acoustics quadraphonic sound system known for its power and precision. The programming covers a wide spectrum of electronic music: world trance, techno, house, acid, bass-house, psy-techno, and psytrance.
Anamorphose Festival is not limited to music. The collective Paradigm, in collaboration with 512 Lighting, delivers a scenography and video mapping that literally transforms the castle facade into a living work of art. The volumetric laser show creates an unprecedented spatial revolution, projecting beams of light into the Lot-et-Garonne night.
The fantastic creatures of Hanabi Circus mingle with the audience, adding a theatrical and dreamlike dimension to the experience. Every visual element is designed to interact with the music and the architectural heritage, creating a total spectacle that goes beyond the usual scope of an electronic music festival.
The Château de Duras, a medieval fortress remodeled over the centuries, offers a spectacular setting for the festival. Located about 60 km from Bordeaux, Agen, and Périgueux, this historical monument overlooks the Dropt valley and the surrounding countryside. The main courtyard and the castle esplanade host the stages and installations, creating an atmosphere that is both grand and intimate.
Since its inaugural edition in 2023, Anamorphose Festival has continued to grow, with each edition described as more magical than the last. The festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the electronic music scene in the Southwest, attracting a passionate audience from all over Nouvelle-Aquitaine and beyond.
Fourth edition of the Anamorphose Festival in the park of the Château des Ducs de Duras, in Lot-et-Garonne, from Friday, July 10th to Sunday, July 12th, 2026. For this edition, psytrance is in the spotlight with two open-air electronic music nights combining video mapping, L-Acoustics quadraphonic sound, volumetric laser show, and fantastic creature performances. Headliners: Juno Reactor, E-Clip, and the Hadra label.
For this 4th edition, from Friday, July 10th to Sunday, July 12th, 2026, the Anamorphose Festival puts psytrance in the spotlight in the park of the Château des Ducs de Duras. As every year, the festival offers two open-air evenings with complementary musical identities, supported by L-Acoustics quadraphonic sound, immersive video mapping, a volumetric laser show, and fantastic creatures wandering among the audience.
The evening of Friday, July 10th is entrusted to the Parisian collective GAIA in collaboration with Pixel booking, featuring an international lineup including Juno Reactor and E-Clip. The evening of Saturday, July 11th is once again dedicated to the famous French label Hadra, an essential reference in psytrance.
During the day, the festival offers a Dub Sound System, a Free Market, food trucks, workshops, games, and castle tours, for an experience that goes beyond just the electro nights.
