Angers Geekfest: The Temple of Pop Culture in Anjou

Created in 2019, Angers Geekfest quickly established itself as the largest pop culture event in the West of France. Located at the Parc des Expositions d'Angers in Verrières-en-Anjou, the show occupies over 15,000 m² of space to offer visitors a total immersion in the geek universe.

A Rich and Varied Program

The festival offers a multitude of continuous activities over two days: over 200 consoles and arcade machines freely available, e-sport tournaments, dedicated spaces for board games and role-playing games, conferences, and free creative workshops on drawing, crafting, and Asian traditions. Cosplay enthusiasts can participate in the grand competition, which is one of the weekend's highlights.

Manga, Comics, and Genre Literature

Angers Geekfest showcases comic books, manga, comics, and science fiction and fantasy literature. Authors, illustrators, and publishers are present for signing sessions and meet-and-greets with the public. Exhibitors also offer figurines, merchandise, board games, and collectibles.

A Family-Friendly and Accessible Event

Designed for all audiences, Geekfest offers activities suitable for children aged 6 and up, and attractive family ticket prices. A free parking lot with 6,000 spaces facilitates access to the site, which is also accessible by bus lines of the Irigo network. Each edition is built around a special theme that renews the experience year after year – Super Villains in 2025, for example.

Remarkable Growth

Since its creation in 2019, Angers Geekfest has experienced impressive growth, going from a few thousand visitors to over 18,000 festival-goers in recent editions. The show has expanded to now occupy 18,000 m² of space, confirming Angers as a major destination for pop culture in Western France.
