About Estivales de Madine
The Summer Animations of Lac de Madine are a festive program offered each summer by the Syndicat Mixte d'Aménagement du Lac de Madine on the sites of Nonsard-Lamarche and Heudicourt-sous-les-Côtes. From July to the end of August, the event offers free open-air concerts every weekend, open-air cinema screenings, a spectacular fireworks display, craft and local produce markets, as well as nature and sports activities. All this by the largest lake in Lorraine.

Summer Animations of Lac de Madine: a festive summer by the water
Lac de Madine, with its 1,100 hectares of water surface in the heart of the Lorraine Regional Natural Park, is the largest lake in the region. Every summer, the leisure base bordering its shores comes alive with a festive and family-friendly program that attracts thousands of visitors.
Free concerts every weekend
For a summer, Lac de Madine transforms into an open-air concert venue. Every weekend, free concerts are organized near the beach bar in Nonsard or the lakeside bar in Heudicourt. The musical program is varied:
- Local artists: musicians and bands from the region who bring the Lorraine music scene to life
- Tribute bands: homages to great bands and artists for guaranteed party nights
- Passionate musicians: artists from all walks of life who share their music in a relaxed atmosphere by the water
The return of the fireworks
After several years of absence, the Lac de Madine fireworks display makes its grand return. This pyrotechnic show, fired over the lake, offers a magical moment to the thousands of spectators gathered on the banks. The fireworks display is preceded by an open-air concert.
Open-air cinema
A popular new feature, Lac de Madine offers free open-air cinema screenings. A giant screen is set up by the lake for screenings at dusk, in a unique atmosphere between water and stars.

The Summer Animations also include:
- Craft and local produce markets: exhibitors offering specialties from the Meuse and Lorraine region
- Nature and sports activities: supervised swimming, sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and wildlife observation
- Discovery shuttles: shuttle tours to discover local history and the region's treasures

Practical information
Access and transport
By car: Lac de Madine has two main access points: the Nonsard-Lamarche site (south access, main beach) and the Heudicourt-sous-les-Côtes site (north access). From Verdun (approx. 30 km), take the D908 towards Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel then follow the Lac de Madine signs. From Metz (approx. 60 km), take the A4 then the D958. Ample parking is available at each reception site.
By train: The nearest station is Commercy, served by TER Grand Est trains from Nancy, Toul, and Bar-le-Duc. From the station, a car journey of about 25 minutes is necessary to reach the lake.
Location
The events take place on the two sites of the leisure base: the Nonsard-Lamarche site (beach and beach bar) and the Heudicourt-sous-les-Côtes site (lakeside bar and event area). Concerts are held alternately on both sites according to the program.
Prices
Concerts, open-air cinema, and fireworks are completely free. However, access to the leisure base site requires a vehicle entrance fee during the summer period (daily or seasonal rate). Water and sports activities (sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding, pedal boats) are subject to a charge and accessible via the water sports center.
Schedules
Open-air concerts are generally held in the late afternoon and evening on weekends. Open-air cinema screenings begin at dusk. Precise schedules are communicated on the lacmadine.com website and Lac de Madine social media throughout the summer.
Accommodation
The Lac de Madine leisure base offers on-site accommodation: campsite (tent, caravan, and motorhome pitches), chalets, gîtes, and mobile homes. Booking is highly recommended during the summer, especially on event weekends and the fireworks weekend. Contact: 03 29 89 32 50.
Catering
Bars and restaurants are open on both sites (Nonsard and Heudicourt) throughout the summer season. A varied catering offer is available: snacks, grills, ice cream, and drinks at the beach bar and the lakeside bar.

In addition to the summer animations, Lac de Madine offers numerous activities: supervised swimming, sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boats, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and fishing. Equipment rentals are available on site.
