Electro and urban festival at the Colisée de Chartres
The Arena Music Festival is Chartres' first indoor festival, dedicated to electronic and urban music at the Colisée. Launched in 2025, it brings together over eight national and local artists for an explosive evening mixing electro, urban music, and hard. The Colisée transforms into a musical arena for 1,500 festival-goers. Its motto: 'When the arena opens, the journey begins'.
The Arena Music Festival marks a significant milestone in Chartres' musical scene, becoming the city's first indoor festival. Hosted at the Colisée de Chartres, this event offers an immersive evening dedicated to electronic, urban, and hard music, in an ambitious format aiming to become a must-attend gathering.
For the occasion, the Colisée—Chartres' multipurpose venue located on Rue Danielle Casanova—transforms into a true musical arena. Light shows, high-quality sound production, and immersive scenography create a unique atmosphere where 1,500 festival-goers gather for an evening of explosive sets and collective energy.
The Arena Music Festival has chosen a balanced lineup between renowned national artists and local DJs. For its first edition, the festival hosted recognized artists such as Vegedream, DJ Bens (known for opening for Beyoncé or BigFlo & Oli), and Sound of Legend, alongside local talents like Nala, Perché, and Tryno.
This artistic diversity covers a wide musical spectrum: from electro to urban music, including hard sounds and fiery DJ sets, each artist brings their personal touch to a memorable evening.
This motto perfectly encapsulates the festival's spirit: an immersive experience where music, lights, and audience energy combine to create a unique sensory journey. The Arena Music Festival is part of Chartres' cultural renewal dynamic, bringing a contemporary music festival offering that was previously missing in the city.
Building on the success of its first edition, described as a 'successful debut' by local media, the festival aims to establish itself permanently on Chartres' event calendar and grow with each edition.
The second edition of the Arena Music Festival is expected in the fall of 2026 at the Colisée de Chartres. Building on the success of its first edition, the festival is expected to offer an even more ambitious lineup of electronic and urban music.
Building on the success of its first edition, the Arena Music Festival is expected to return to the Colisée de Chartres for a second edition in the fall of 2026. The lineup and exact dates will be announced later.
