The Argonne Chamber Music Festival is an exceptional summer event for classical music lovers. Every summer, from July to early August, the churches of the Argonne forest host chamber music concerts of remarkable artistic quality, in a unique natural and heritage setting.

Twelve Exceptional Musicians

Each year, the festival brings together a team of twelve young musicians from different continents. These artists are not mere beginners: they are winners of prestigious international competitions, solo members of world-renowned orchestras, and seasoned performers accustomed to the greatest concert halls in Europe and the world. The festival thus offers the Argonne audience international-level programming.

Eight Concerts in the Churches of Argonne

The festival is structured around eight chamber music concerts held in several churches in the region:

• Church of Futeau: the festival's anchor point, in the heart of the Argonne forest.
• Church of Rarécourt: an intimate acoustic setting for quality concerts.
• Church of Clermont-en-Argonne: a historic church overlooking the Aire valley.
• Church of Aubréville: a concert venue with remarkable architectural heritage.
• Church of Sainte-Ménehould: the main town of the Marne Argonne, nearby.

The programming explores the vast repertoire of chamber music: trios, quartets, quintets, and other intimate ensembles allow for the appreciation of masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Debussy, and contemporary composers.
