The winter extension of the Aucard de Tours festival in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps
Aucard d'Hiver is the winter counterpart to the renowned Aucard de Tours festival, organized by Béton Production and Radio Béton. Created in 2025 for its first edition, this February event takes place at Le Point Haut in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, a 3,500 m² cultural venue shared by POLAU and Compagnie Off. Over two intense evenings, the festival offers an eclectic program mixing garage rock, techno, hip-hop, punk, and experimental music, in a more intimate format than its larger summer sibling. The second edition celebrated Radio Béton's 40th anniversary with an XXL program.
Launched in February 2025, Aucard d'Hiver is the winter version of the legendary Aucard de Tours, an alternative music festival created in 1986 by Radio Béton. This new cultural offering fulfills Béton Production's desire to maintain musical momentum throughout the year, beyond the summer event at the Gloriette plain. The festival is held at Le Point Haut, a cultural space located in the Grands Mortiers area of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, a town bordering Tours.
Le Point Haut is a unique 3,500 m² space housed in former industrial buildings, shared by POLAU (urban planning and arts hub) and Compagnie Off since 2001. Its modular spaces—a large hall, a bunker, studios—provide an ideal setting for intimate concerts and immersive sound experiences. During the first edition, the festival also utilized Le Soleil, the first winter guinguette (riverside bar/restaurant) in the Tours urban area, with a small train connecting the two venues during the evenings.
True to the spirit of Aucard de Tours, the winter festival offers a bold and diverse program. The first edition (2025) featured around twenty concerts in the main hall and the bunker of Le Point Haut, with headliners Jacques and Enola Gay, alongside artists like the Franco-Moroccan Aziz Konkrite, the Irish band Yard, the legendary English techno producer Daniel Avery, as well as local talents like Vitaline and Oshun.
The second edition, in February 2026, took on a special dimension by celebrating the 40th anniversary of Radio Béton. An XXL program featuring artists such as La Ruda, Meule, Mars Red Sky, MDNS, Ondubground, Killowen, The Big Idea, and Jasmine Not Jafar took over Le Point Haut for two memorable nights, accompanied by three weeks of free festivities throughout the Tours region.
Like its summer predecessor, Aucard d'Hiver cultivates an associative and volunteer-driven spirit, powered by the Béton Production team and the airwaves of Radio Béton (93.6 FM). The festival offers on-site catering, a bar with local beers, and a warm atmosphere characteristic of human-scale events.
