Luynes Takes America by Storm

Luynes Takes America by Storm is an entirely free festival held annually in September at the Parc des Varennes in Luynes, Indre-et-Loire. Claiming the title of France's largest free American festival, this popular family event draws nearly 50,000 visitors over four days, immersing the public in the ambiance of the United States from the 1950s to the 1970s.

An Immersion in American Culture

The festival offers a complete experience of American culture through various activities:

  • Concerts: over 28 free rock, rockabilly, country, and blues concerts scheduled throughout the weekend, with an open stage dedicated to young talents
  • Motorcycle and American Car Parades: spectacular parades of Harley-Davidsons and classic American vehicles

A Generous Musical Program

Music is at the heart of the festival with rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, country, and blues concerts taking place on the main stage. The open stage, available for the second year, offers emerging artists the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience.

The Narvalo's Bikers Spirit

Organized by the Narvalo's Bikers association, the festival is powered by 180 dedicated volunteers and operates without any public financial aid. This independence is a source of pride for the organizers, who maintain the event's complete freeness thanks to associative dynamism and private partner support. The spirit of the festival can be summed up in one word: sharing.

An Event Rooted in Luynes

The Parc des Varennes, a green space in the heart of Luynes, provides an ideal setting for this major event. The town of Luynes, located a few kilometers west of Tours on the banks of the Loire, fully benefits from the festival's reach, which contributes to the tourist appeal of the Tours metropolitan area.
