T'Chinon(s) Encore sous le Château is a unique wine event that takes place every year in November in the troglodyte cellars of the Château de la Bonnelière in Chinon. Organized by Terra Hominis, a crowdfunding platform dedicated to viticulture, this event combines wine discovery, underground heritage, and conviviality.

An exceptional troglodyte setting

The troglodyte cellars of the Château de la Bonnelière offer a spectacular setting for this wine event. Carved into the tuffeau stone, these underground galleries maintain a constant temperature and humidity, ideal for wine conservation and tasting. This unique mineral decor, characteristic of the troglodyte heritage of the Chinonais region, gives the event an incomparable atmosphere.

Meet the Terra Hominis winegrowers

The fair brings together about ten Terra Hominis winegrowers from all over France to present their vintages. These winegrowers, supported by crowdfunding, share a common passion for artisanal and authentic viticulture. Visitors can taste their wines, discuss their viticultural practices, and discover various terroirs, from Chinonais to Coteaux du Layon, as well as other French wine regions.

Weekend Program

On Saturday morning, the associates of Domaine Marc Plouzeau are invited to the annual general meeting in the 15th-century Hôtel particulier Bodard de la Jacopière, followed by a convivial lunch. On Saturday afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., the fair is open to everyone in the troglodyte cellars with tastings, food trucks, and a stone carving demonstration. On Sunday, two oenological tours are offered: one at the Château de la Bonnelière with a discovery of the vineyard and cellars, the other at the Domaine des Quarres in AOC Coteaux du Layon.

T'Chinon(s) Encore sous le Château is part of the promotion of the viticultural heritage of Chinonais, an exceptional territory where Cabernet Franc finds one of its finest expressions. The event contributes to the influence of wine tourism in the Loire Valley and participates in the promotion of responsible and participatory viticulture.
