Autres Mesures is a contemporary music festival that has established itself in the Rennes cultural scene since its creation in 2015 by pianist and composer Melaine Dalibert, joined in 2019 by Jiess Nicolet. The event aims to overcome public apprehension towards contemporary music.

An eclectic program

The festival offers about fifteen events highlighting the diversity of current musical expressions: written, improvised, instrumental, or electronic music, at the crossroads of scholarly and popular inspirations. Half of the events are free, reinforcing the accessibility of this demanding music.

Autres Mesures is distinguished by its on-site encounters that extend the dialogue between music, visual arts, and cinema in Rennes' partner exhibition spaces. These artistic crossovers enrich the audience's experience and open new perspectives for listening and discovery.
