Basket Fair — edition 2026
The Issigeac Basket and Wickerwork Fair returns on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM, at the Parking de la Banège. Around forty exhibitors from all over France and Belgium will present their wicker and basketry creations, from the traditional Périgord «bouyricou» to contemporary designs. Demonstrations, children's workshops, a competition for the most beautiful stand, a raffle, and on-site catering will punctuate this free artisanal day.

The Issigeac Basket and Wickerwork Fair will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM, at the Parking de la Banège, near the medieval heart of Issigeac (24560). Admission is free.
Around forty basketry exhibitors
Approximately 40 exhibitors, from all over France and Belgium, will present their creations in wicker, rattan, chestnut, and other plant fibers. From the traditional Périgord «bouyricou» to contemporary designs, artisans will provide live demonstrations of their craftsmanship.

The art of basketry celebrated in Issigeac
The Issigeac Basket and Basketry Fair is a major craft event in Périgord Pourpre. Each summer, around thirty exhibitors from all over France and Belgium gather at the Parking de la Banège, a stone's throw from the heart of Issigeac, to present their creations in wicker and basketry.
From bouyricou to contemporary creations
Visitors discover the techniques for making baskets, from the traditional "bouyricou" Périgourdin — the emblematic grape harvest basket — to contemporary creations made from wicker, rattan, chestnut, and other plant fibers. Artisans give live demonstrations, sharing ancestral know-how.
Entertainment and conviviality
The fair offers free children's workshops on creative themes, a "Le Circophone" carousel with participatory rotation accompanied by a barrel organ and a clarinet, a competition for the most beautiful stand, and a raffle with several draws throughout the day.
